FIRM HISTORY
David Bigmore trained at Coward Chance (now Clifford
Chance) and has always specialised in commercial and
corporate law with many internationally based
clients.
From 1986 David has specialised in Franchising and
Franchise-related matters and since that time, has
been involved in all aspects of Franchising.
David Bigmore & Co. appears in all of the principal

David was the Specialist Advisor to the British
Franchise Association (“BFA”) on the Trading Schemes
Act 1996 and negotiated the provision of the Act
with the Government. He was also an original member
of the BFA’s Legal Committee which advises BFA on
important legal matters affecting Franchising.
Whilst the firm deals with franchising all over the
world and has prestigious offices in London, David
lives and works mostly from a picturesque village
just outside Chester, an old Roman city in the North
West of England.
The firm has a very successful association with the
City of London firm, Goodman Derrick LLP and is
therefore able to provide a full service to all
franchising clients in respect of all areas of law.
Goodman Derrick is a firm of twenty-one partners and
has a total of over one-hundred members of staff |
